Karachi is the most populous city of Pakistan. It is the financial hub and sea port of Pakistan. Approximately 90% of the multinational corporations operating in Pakistan are headquartered in Karachi.
Karachi is served by a road network estimated to be approximately 9,500 kilometers in length, serving approximately 3.1 million vehicles per day and includes on a normal 13.5 million user trips to work. To accommodate this high volume of day to day persons trip, Karachi has strong public transport system having more than 100 operational bus route other than number of qingqi routes.
Think Transportation undergoes traffic study for macroscopic public transportation planning of Karachi. This study includes GPS survey for tracking of routes of all operational bus and qingqi routes. Think transportation also performs speed tracking survey of these routes to evaluate the performance of public transport and also to identify congestion regions and spot along the routes.
